Important Update – Partnership Notice
ParentShield’s partnership with Yorkshire Children’s Trust formally came to an end on 27 May 2025, following the very sad closure of the charity.
We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity we had to support the Trust and the families it worked with. Yorkshire Children’s Trust made a meaningful difference to many children and young people, and it was a privilege to stand alongside them during our partnership.
While this chapter has closed, our commitment to protecting and supporting children through safe mobile connectivity remains unchanged. We continue to work with families, schools and organisations across the UK to help keep young people safe in an increasingly connected world.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the charity’s closure, including the families, supporters and dedicated individuals who gave so much to its mission.
We were approached last week by the charity Yorkshire Children’s Trust. YC Trust does some great things supporting parents of children who need extended stays in hospital, or are very poorly. We have agreed to will provide reduced cost SIM contracts to the Charity’s users and supporters as well as donate towards the Charity’s great work in Yorkshire supporting parents and their children going through hospital treatment.
ParentShield will make a donation to the charity as well as provide free Super Roaming to the Charity’s supporters and users that will allow their SIM cards to roam across the best available networks and provide the very best coverage possible. About Yorkshire Children’s Trust
Yorkshire Children’s Trust was founded by two sets of parents after their daughters were diagnosed with Leukaemia. The charity helps children and their families cope with the emotional and financial strain of many life-changing illnesses. This is something the founders of the charity personally understand after dealing with their own children going through the long and harsh treatments for cancer.
Yorkshire Children’s Trust is able to provide access to grants that help with the financial burden of having a child in hospital for an extended period of time, and access to support, counselling and other essential services such as respite care.
